In the ten-year period between 2007 and 2017, over 35,000 cases of Lyme disease were reported to the CDC in New Jersey alone. Of those, “Surveys have consistently shown that more than three quarters of all Lyme Disease cases are acquired from ticks that are picked up during regular outdoor activities around the home.”
